Brasserie Mon Chou Chou

French Comfort Food

Brasserie Mon Chou Chou is the brainchild of Chef Laurent Réa, Philippe Placé, and Jérôme Sérot—French food lovers who met nearly 20 years ago in San Antonio. The menu highlights the cuisine of their homeland, enriched with fond memories of meals shared with family and friends. Many of the dishes are directly influenced by the trio’s respective grandmothers, as well as the many inspiring cities and diverse regions of France.

More About Us

“Mon Chou Chou” is a French term of endearment that roughly translates to “sweetie” or “darling.” True to its name, Brasserie Mon Chou Chou exemplifies a laid back and comfortable atmosphere inspired by the great brasseries of Paris. The new restaurant highlights French classics with an emphasis on simple, flavorful dishes—from steak frites to oysters to Coq Au Vin.

“[Chef Laurent] Réa delivers a perfectly cooked 12-ounce New York strip with a crown of compound butter good enough to land on any fancy steakhouse menu at twice the price.”

San Antonio Express-News

“Sure, the food at new French dining spot Brasserie Mon Chou Chou is tasty, but what really helps it excel are the stellar service and a comfortable atmosphere that feels like a magic portal to Paris.”

San Antonio Current

“Brasserie Mon Chou Chou is a true San Antonio gem. The place, ambience and food make you feel in the backstreets of Blvd. St. Germain. Simply wonderful, keep up the good service!”
