Day 1: Distiller’s Dinner at Hotel Emma + Cocktail Throwdown

Sit face-to-face with the families behind the world’s most respected agave spirits in an intimate multi-course pairing dinner. Begin with a 30-minute cocktail reception, then transition to a guided tasting experience featuring a different agave spirit paired with carefully crafted cuisine at each course.

Meet the Distillers: Chava Rosales of Cascahuin, Alex Orendain of Arette, Gina Salles of El Tequileno, Rene Carranza of Atanasio, Carlos Mendez Blaz of Palomo Mezcal, and Alejandro Rossbach of Bozal Mezcal.

Kick off the weekend by bringing your friends for a spirited cocktail competition! On Friday, May 1, from 4 to 9 p.m., enjoy curated cocktails as bars compete for the best Agave Spirit Cocktail at the Taste of Pearl Cocktail Competition with Good Juice.

This in-person event lets you hop from bar to bar to order the featured $14 cocktail. Each drink you order counts as a vote, with winners announced at 8 p.m. that evening.

Latin Dance Nights at Pearl is a free, all-ages series hosted by Algo Nuevo Wednesdays at Pearl in San Antonio. Join us on select evenings for happy hour, salsa and bachata lessons led by Semeneya Dance Studio, music by DJ Plaziuz, and live performances by Fuego y Agua Dancers and Framboyán Dance Studios. No experience necessary — all levels are welcome. Doors and happy hour begin at 7 p.m., lessons start at 8:30 p.m., and music drops at 9:15 p.m.
