Carriqui is dedicated to showcasing the food and drink of South Texas—from the Rio Grande Valley to the Texas coast and north to San Antonio. The menu features fresh seafood from the Gulf, pit-cooked meats, and regional standards all unified by the flight path of our namesake—the carriqui.

More About Us
Once known for its distinct lean, the former home of the Liberty Bar underwent a painstaking, eight-year renovation process and will soon become Carriqui at the Pearl district.
Named after the green jay, called the carriquí de montaña, it will celebrate the cuisine of South Texas (the bird’s sole U.S. habitat). Here is a sneak peek at what visitors can expect.
“It is an honor to work on this project. I am deeply passionate about the culinary program at Carriqui, which pays tribute to the flavors and foods that are central to our region,” Gonzalez said.
