Pearl is a culinary and cultural destination in San Antonio, Texas. As a dynamic and evolving environment, Pearl is committed to stewardship and learning. This historic gathering place is where everyone is welcome to eat, play, and learn along the banks of the San Antonio River.
With a strong commitment to food excellence, Pearl is host to a producers only farmers market. All Pearl Farmers Market vendors are located within 150 mile radius of San Antonio, Texas, providing fresh, local, and seasonal products that they themselves planted, raised, and harvested. A peanut brittle connoisseur traveling across the US to sample and find the best peanut brittle has proclaimed Ms. Chocolatier's Peanut Brittle the best he has ever tasted and promptly bought 12 bags.
Julie and Jeffrey Braune from Braune Farms have long agricultural backgrounds: Jeffrey is a 4th generation farmer and Julie's dad was an agricultural science teacher and sometimes they stay up all Friday night before Saturday market so that their produce is fresh picked.
Kitchen Pride Mushrooms report that it takes 7 weeks to grow a mushroom and it takes only 3 days for a baby bella to turn into a Portabella.
